Cristal Blue Carriage has three cars to its fleet.
- Our 3 to 5 passenger: "The Blue Fox"
- Our 5 to 7 passenger: "The Blue Eagle"
- Our SUV: "Wine Runner" (No Passengers - Wine Only)
- Our 7 to 9 passenger: "The Blue Bear" ( Not Pictured )
Our Carriages are the 'Classic' 96/97 Lincoln Town Car built by the finest coach builders.
Our Carriages have 'Everything you Expect a Limousine to Be'
Bill's passion is The Wine, mine is The Carriages. We chose '96/'97 models for their space and comfort, not to mention the solid construction. These cars look like a Limousine without being the length of a football field. We have completely rebuilt and refurbished the 'Blue Fox' and 'Blue Eagle' - the 'Blue Bear' is still waiting for her blue dress, we have dubbed her 'Panda Bear' for the moment, being black and white. She is our largest carriage and is already becoming familiar with the by-ways and back roads of Wine Country.
I personally detail and hand polish our carriages before every charter. If my hands have not touched these beauties first, they do not go out. Seeing these classics in their pristine showroom glory, gives me the pleasure of any proud parent on graduation day.The painstaking attention to detail shown by the craftsmen in the rebirth of these magnificent machines, was above even our expectations. I must confess that the compliments and Car Show Invitations that we get, do pump my ego considerably and I have the satisfaction of my job being well done.
I hope you enjoy our carriages as much as we do. The stares of other motorists certainly gives us all a since of importance. You would not believe how many times I have heard "All those people are staring at us, Can they see inside?" The answer is no, they can only see shapes so they know someone is inside.
One of my favorite touches is the bright blue opera lights we installed, other drivers catch a glimpse of 'that blue' and slow down immediately. A small Public Service we provide that was quite unintentional. Our GPS units are invaluable for those unexpected client requests, 'I need a battery, where is a Radio Shack?' ' Is there a Starbucks close by?' 'How long till we get there?'
There is someone in California with the number plate "Blu Eagle" so we had to settle for "Bu Eagle", "Bu Fox" and "Bu Bear". The only part of the master plan that did not come to fruition - beyond our control, you know. We take our carriages very seriously and have named them all, numbers are not for them, they wear their name tags
If you say it fast enough it almost sounds right.
